Our engagement process is pretty simple, involving the 7 Steps outlined below. This specific engagement process is geared toward web development but can be applied to other product services offered. Total time involved for a web development project is typically 2-3 months depending on technical needs.
We will sit down and fully scope out your company needs and expectations. Here is where we develop project focus.
Depending on how extensive your needs, this step could be as easy as a conversation and exchange of examples or a full scale market research. Either way, target market and competition is fundamental to project success to tap into understanding your customer.
Any good project needs some structure. This step starts Day 1 and continues a couple days to a couple weeks. This includes site map and project detailed timeline.
An initial design can take up to a week, and modification of design theme can take up to a month. This step includes logo, coloring, themed shapes, font and overall style. During this phase, we encourage customer feedback and interaction to ensure we connect to your customer with your unique signature.
The development phase is where all the hard work is paid off. Together with our technical team, web development analytics, content and creative services are built and implemented. This can include various applications and ecommerce shopping carts and management systems like CMS.
Once you are satisfied with the final product, we will have our final testing phase to ensure complete functionality and compatibility with final software systems in place. Our final delivery phase includes a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to transfer the information to your server, if using an outside provider. Other considerations during this phase include Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Congratulations! Your final project is complete. To continue displaying your high quality end product, there is additional updating involved including browser software and design adjustments throughout the years. Also consider page analytics to understand what's working and what isn't. This information provides a data driven perspective which will focus future projects and market decisions.
